D3 is the active form of Vitamin D, which is naturally formed in the skin by the sun's UVB radiation. Our Vitamin D3 is synthetically derived from wool grease (lanolin) from healthy living sheep. This is the most common form of Vitamin D3, and it is non-GMO.
Nordic wild lingonberries, like bilberries, are really nutrient-rich and very fibrous berry. Lingonberry is also rich in polyphenolic compounds and has been used for centuries in the Nordic countries because of its nutrients and great taste.

WHAT ARE SIGNS OF VITAMIN D DEFICIENCY?
Lack of vitamin D may cause a weaker immune system and predisposes to bone loss and weaker bones. It can be linked even to weaker mental and nervous system health – but more studies are needed. Please notice that you should test regularly your vitamin D levels and consult a doctor if you notice any symptoms.
CAN YOU TAKE TOO MUCH VITAMIN D?
Yes, you can. Notice that the upper safe daily dosage is 100 mcg. You should regularly measure your vitamin D levels to be sure that you get the optimal amount of vitamin D. Vitamin D is fat-soluble and stored in the body. Too much vitamin D can weaken your wellbeing and health. You have too much Vitamin D in your body if you have over 250 nmol/l of vitamin D in your blood. Always follow the instructions of the safe daily intake.
WHAT FOODS ARE HIGH IN VITAMIN D?
Sources of vitamin D from food include e.g., fish dishes, egg yolks, liver, mushrooms and fortified dairy products and spreads.
WHAT IS THE RECOMMENDED DAILY DOSE OF VITAMIN D?
In Finland, the daily recommendation of D3 is 10 mcg per day for healthy adults under 75 years. According to studies, 100 mcg of Vitamin D per day is safe.
